We know what milestones are – the important stuff – the things that we remember for a really long time – the places where our lives changed in one way or another. We don’t often think of what the word really means – a marker along a journey that tells us how far we’ve come.
SMMI has reached just such a significant marker. From our inception, we have been dedicated to providing quality education to small businesses and professionals to allow them to use technology and social media in a responsible, ethical and effective manner. That mission has brought us to a partnership with the National Association of REALTORS®, our country’s largest trade association. Today, NAR is announcing that SMMI has been chosen to re-write their ePro technology course from the ground up. Using the materials from our CSM course, and our existing technology courses, combined with new material prepared specifically for this course, SMMI is creating an educational experience that is without equal in the real estate space.
The new course will be presented for the first time on November 4, 2010 just prior to the REALTORS® Conference and Expo in New Orleans. The course provides real estate agents with the latest technology and social media tools to enhance their business and help them engage with customers and other real estate professionals. As in all of our SMMI educational offerings, emphasis has been placed on utilizing online technology to achieve measurable offline results. The first day of the course will be offered live, with a second day offered online for self-paced instruction.
This new partnership has another facet for us – it’s one thing to build a course, present it, and be proud of it, and we at SMMI have done that for a variety of organizations including the federal government. It’s entirely another thing to be chosen by an organization like NAR as the best choice to provide their members with the finest educational experience possible. As we move forward with NAR and other professional organizations in the future, this milestone will continue to stand out for us.
